The “Fullness” of the Holy Ghost?
Everyone is looking but some won’t see it through
They think its in me and some think its in you.
You see your beltline expanding and your pressure going up
You know longer sit down to eat you sit down to get stuffed.
What if the pearly gates say one size will not fit all.
What if the streets of gold causes you to fall
What if your door to your mansion
Won’t let you in until you get an expansion
Why does food have two benefits one for health and unhealthy
Why can’t you step away from the plate and ask what is wrong with me?
A new dish a new recipe
Is not the only thing making you hungry?
The cooking channel and the cooking show
You don’t need when you can’t fit in your clothes
The more you look the more you think it is food
No wonder you’re always in a bad mood
You can barely witness you can hardly teach
You sweat and get out of breath every time you preach.
Praying is a duty witnessing is a job
You hardly pay tithes so its God that you rob
You don’t have much of an offering when you want to eat after church
All you think about in Sunday school is what you want for desert.
You can’t dance in church and they have to ask you to stand
The air conditioner is on Alaska and you still need a fan.
Food we will always have it don’t have to be eaten in one day or an hour
Food has taken over your spirit so now who has the power.
Oh ye of little faith and you who cannot wait
The devil has put more than you can allow on your plate
Fasting we don’t preach because we can no longer do it
And if we do it for four hours we watch the clock tick
Your health is bad and the devil is happy
You sweat so much that your hair is nappy
The enemy is crafty and he knows how to select
The bible tells us he can fool even the very elect.
Wait and weight they both come with pressure
Pray that your plight comes in real good weather
Because if it is hot and humid out there
You won’t be able to run anywhere
What are you looking for what do you really desire
A loving God or a dish set on fire?
Food for thought I just wanted to share
There really are no calories to make you fat anywhere.
Did you wait on the lord or did weight cause you to lose out
I’m not poking fun at anyone because I know you can’t shout
Swollen feet and heavy legs makes you think of food instead
The word won’t fit when your mouth is stuffed
One you can eat forever and never get enough
The other it will show up in the form of a double chin
That’s why you keep going to God for forgiveness of sin.
Gluttony is a sin to so don’t forget to repent
It’d be a shame to go to hell for being big as a tent.
Are you ambitious enough to be saved?
Do you witness everyday?
Or is your energy wasted by to much of nothing to say
Do you try to reach the lost do you help someone who is sick?
Or do you stay home and complain about taking such a risk.
Do you try to be a better person do you think of others
Or are you sick and tired of seeing so many young mothers.
Do you let your light shine are you a good example
Or are you like tumbleweed not knowing what you’re after
Are you a good Christian or do you just sit and listen?
Do you share the good news; do you pay your dues?
Maybe you are saved enough and don’t worry about no one else
Maybe God has to save someone to give you the right kind of help
So much to do with Christ everyday
Poor saved child with nothing to say.
